Frequently
asked questions
When is the clinic open?
Closed
The clinic is closed between 12:00pm-1:00pm for lunch on weekdays. All hours remain the same, unless otherwise posted on the clinic door.
Are walk-in appointments available?
If we are unable to provide a same-day appointment, we offer our cancellation list as an alternative.
Why does the staff ask the reason I am coming in?
This helps ensure the appropriate amount of time is scheduled for your appointment and that all necessary supplies are prepared in advance. By doing so, the doctor can focus fully on your care without delays. If supplies need to be located during your visit, it may reduce the time available to address your concerns or cause delays for patients scheduled later in the day.
My prescription has run out. What should I do?
All prescription renewals require a scheduled appointment. When you pick up your final renewal, please contact us to book your next appointment in advance. Managing your prescription renewals is your responsibility—please do not wait until you’ve taken your last dose, as this may put you at risk of running out of medication. If you find yourself in that situation, your pharmacy may be able to provide a short extension until you can get in for an appointment. When in doubt, phone the clinic with your renewal concerns.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Alternatively, you can cancel your appointment by completing our cancellation request form.
What services are not covered by insurance, and how do I pay for them?
The Clinic accepts: Cash, Cheque or E-transfer as modes of payment We DO NOT accept Debit or Credit Card.

Clinic Policies
Respect our staff & physicians
Code of conduct
At Brilz Associate Clinic, we have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse directed toward our staff or physicians. We kindly ask all patients and visitors to maintain respectful language and behavior while in the clinic. Aggressive, inappropriate, or threatening conduct will not be tolerated.
Any violation of this policy may result in removal from the clinic and/or permanent discharge from the medical practice.
No less than 24 hours' notice
No-shows & cancellations
Appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to a fee—$XX for regular appointments and $XXX for physicals or procedures.
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In exceptional circumstances, your physician may choose to waive this fee at their discretion. Please note that clinic staff are not authorized to override this policy, so we kindly ask for your patience and respect as they uphold our clinic’s guidelines. As a courtesy, we send reminder emails and voice messages approximately two days before your scheduled appointment. However, it remains the patient’s responsibility to attend, regardless of whether the reminder is received. Missed appointments not only delay your own care but also prevent other patients from accessing timely medical attention. These no-shows contribute to longer wait times and underutilized clinic resources.
Any outstanding fees must be settled before future appointments can be booked, unless your physician has made other arrangements.
